I love my country and I am sorry if my recent words have elicited anger or resentment. My intention was to spark discourse on a topic that is often misunderstood on both sides - not to add more layers to that misunderstanding.
Race is so sensitive, that the topic has the power to make people say things without adequate consideration. I will be the first to apologise for that. My use or the term “Malay party coalition” was misguided. I said “don’t be foolish” but I’ll admit that it feels foolish to envelope one thought over deep-rooted issues. I’m sorry for any of my inaccuracies.
I am grateful to this government for the way they have responded to this pandemic and my post was in no way an attempt to discredit them.
I want to have a better understanding of the imbalances we feel with the current policies that exist and I want to understand the situations that gave rise to those policies in the first place. All of your experiences are valid and deserve to be heard.
I am a citizen of Malaysia, born on her soil. There’s still a lot more that I don’t know and having logical conversations can allow me to make better and more informed opinions- and public discourse. Before forming sound judgements, I realise that there is much for us to listen and learn about one another.
